John Murphy suffers serious injuries after a fall from a window at City Hospital. Police and hospital staff respond. investigation ongoing into circumstances surrounding the incident.
Prostrations Martin Gannon and others are noted at relief stations along with Alonzo Uadercross Salvatori Mazzanette Lester Wheeler Andrew Anderson Steven Prous Thomas H. Doherty Jr Salvatori Manzanenuli and Charles E Crawford at the Relief stations and City Hospital.
The city records multiple heat related incidents with at least two deaths. John Lannon 43 dies after being decapitated by an elevator while working at Puritan Engine Company. Dozens of others including Martin Gannon Alonzo Undercross Salvatori Mazzanette and Mary Amacomi suffer heat induced collapses and injuries across Dorchester South Boston and downtown locations.

Amoskeag Corporation plans a voluntary average five percent wage increase for more than 10 000 operatives in Manchester New Hampshire effective July 30 announced by agent Herman F Straw. No employee requests for higher pay were known.
Westfield hosts the three day session of the State Council United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. The executive board is authorized to seek affiliation with all state carpenters and joiners unions. Uniform working card and officer elections defer to Worcester meeting January 21, 1907.
After ten days on strike at Sayles & Jenks woolen mill in Warren the employees returned to work. The mill management made no wage increase offer but agreed to take back all marchers who left.
Lowell July 18 The Textile Council adjourned without action after a long meeting over a proposed 5 percent wage increase from the Lowell Cotton Manufacturers Association. The letter, sent by W S Southworth, suggests the rise replaces the 10 percent sought by the Textile Union and would be a levelling up of the pay schedule.

The move reclassifies trades under broader headings and threatens immediate removals, listing stricken locksmiths millwrights sawyers caulkers and others while promising further checks on bracers pavers tally men and lodgemen.

Just before midnight a woman, registered as Mrs J Samuel Poza of New York with escort Mr and Mrs Poza, tumbled from the fifth floor and struck the steel glass awning over Boylston Street. She was taken to City Hospital at 2 AM with critical injuries and expected to die. The crowd of about 2000 watched hotel staff and police lower her mangled body to the sidewalk.
A woman identified as Mrs Poza leapt from a Boston hotel window, plunging onto an awning and into a police ambulance. She survived to reach City Hospital but faces likely life altering injuries. Her husband Mr Poza and a hotel manager provided accounts while officers seek witnesses. The Pozas had recently traveled from New York to Melrose and Boston.
At Framingham muster grounds Boston and Worcester cars pass by the gate and public are admitted without passes. Cars leave Park Square every 15 minutes with Subway cars connecting to Chestnut Hill. Fare is 20 cents.
