American breeders enter Australian egg-laying contest
Editor Purves circulated the challenge to U S poultry breeders with 25 responses. Three American pens arrived in Sydney and dominated the early month one results list. The Australian committee issued a reciprocal challenge inviting U S breeders to send three pens of six pullets to compete under government supervision with expenses paid and potential advertising rewards.
