William McCarthy a bartender from 60 Walnut Street New Haven Conn lies in Flower Hospital after swallowing laudanum a quantity. Found by a policeman at Sixth Avenue and Forty third Street he appeared in epileptic distress. A whiskey flask half full of laudanum and a loaded revolver were found on him. Police seek assailant in river assault near Amesbury
