Record Fourth at Revere Beach Breaks Attendance Records

Fifty thousand or more Fourth of July celebrants crowded Revere Beach, with over 5000 bath house users and no arrests. Chief West praised the orderly crowd, Ex Mayor Curtis toured with him, andbath house revenue rose as towel and room charges held at 20 cents. Police coverage expanded with extra patrols, and Sunday plans to open early drew crowds to the oceanfront celebration.

Zeppelin Airship Trial Above German Waters

Count von Zeppelin's airship trial at Frielrichshafen occurred in a 17 mph gale. The craft rose to 1200 feet and covered 5.25 miles in 17 12 minutes, cruising about eighteen miles an hour. Ascents and steering worked well until a rope twisted, forcing the trip to end.

Fire at C W Leatherbee Lumber Co. causes 120000 loss

G R Miller superintendent says losses run about 106000 on stock plus 15000 to 20000 on buildings and equipment. Insurance covers the total, with forty to fifty insurers named. Origin of fire remains conjecture as he establishes temporary headquarters opposite the former yard.

Endeavorers Arriving for World Convention in London

Christian Endeavor delegates from Chicago and Cleveland totaling about eighty arrived at North Union Station at 6 10 p m yesterday on their way to the world convention in London. A Boston union committee supervised by J B Grove arranged rooms at the American House. On Thursday they tour the navy yard and Bunker Hill guided by Miss Florence Orse. Arlington Heights trip at 1 p m led by Miss Paul. Friday afternoon Cambridge Longfellow home Tremont temple prayer meeting. Saturday sail to Nahant with A C Grainger urging full attendance for a planned surprise. John C Fremont supervisor of New York harbor, now in the Asiatic squadron, is son of thePathfinder Fremont twice a presidential candidate.

Holiday at the Theatres Crowds Fill Local Venues

Heat did not deter crowds as local houses packed while suburban resorts struggled. Shows include The Rounders at New York Casino and the Pinafore production at Chute grounds. Queen Beech Stands Tall in Ashburry Park England
