Firecracker injures three youths in Malden and Roxbury

A firecracker tossed through a Malden street car window caused panic and injuries to John Clancy of Melrose who was taken to Malden Hospital. Howard Keith of Roxbury and Theodore Robinson of Roxbury were burned at home and hospitalized after fireworks incidents.

The United Irish League met in Dublin with John Redmond presiding and accepted Lloyd George proposals for resolving the Irish question. The London directory reported the decision was reached today, July 3.

Irish Home Rule Plan Put Into Immediate Effect

The directory of all Ireland votes against a convention of the United Irish League, two members dissenting in the largest meeting. The Ulster Unionists led by Sir Edward Carson sanction the plans, clearing the way for an Irish parliament long fought for by Nationalists. The Lloyd George plan advances the home rule bill formerly passed in 1914 but paused by the war.

Explosion injures passenger aboard Malden to Woburn streetcar

Funeral plans for Mrs Green in Bellows Falls Vermont

The third day of the Anglo French advance on the western front yielded further allied victories though progress slowed by strong German resistance. British units faced fierce resistance and sometimes abandoned positions won earlier, but overall gains were reported across the front.
