The New York based Women's Swimming Association plans a historic Canadian tour to St. Johns Newfoundland Halifax Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island with top teams and records in view.
The event featured Aileen Riggin, Olympic diving champion, and Elizabeth Becker from Philadelphia with other top divers. Becker won the national fancy diving title from a 12 foot springboard in a tight finish, edging Riggin by a slim margin after tie-break points.
Charley Elkins, the sensational featherweight from Boston, seeks a bout with the winner of Pepper Martin and Gene Delmont after strong showings. He has defeated top rivals including Al Shubert Paul Demers Josephs and Sammy Waltz and knocked Shubert down twice. Elkins is noted as one of the hardest hitting featherweights in the country.

R Norris Williams advanced to the semi finals by beating Frederick Anderson 6-1 6-1. Phil Neer defeated Frank T. Anderson 0-6 7-5 6-2 to reach another semi final.
The Arlington town nine faces Jiggs Donahue's Somerville all star squad in a twilight game at Spy Pond Athletic Field Arlington starting 6 15 this evening. A doubleheader with Winchester follows on the holiday with morning play at Arlington and afternoon at Manchester Field Winchester.
Unity Club of Revere stages 50 rounds of boxing at the Revere Cycle Track tonight. The event aims to please boxing enthusiasts after Independence Day bonfires were limited by local legislators.

Malden City Club faces Revere Caseys in a twilight baseball game at Green Street and Judson Square. Malden leads the year with only one loss and the K of C game is set for 6 10 p m with a Block party and dance by the American Legion post to follow at Rettye yay Green.
