Woman in Auto Strikes Baby in Beverly

A motor vehicle driven by Mrs. Ak Pierce struck 2 year old Elizabeth Holden on a North Beverly sidewalk as the child ran to meet her father. Elizabeth was taken to Beverly Hospital with a fractured skull and is listed as in danger. Mrs. Pierce, a noted local motorist, has been involved in prior accidents.

Sayre and Miss Wilson Named in White House Briefing

White House officials released a brief biographical note on Tris Sayre age 28. He studied at Hill School Lawrenceville Williams College and Harvard Law School and has done YMCA and missionary work. He travels widely and comes from the Sayre and Nevin families with ties to Lehigh University Franklin and Marshall College and the American church. Miss Wilson age 24 educated at Goucher College has done settlement work in Philadelphia and spoken publicly on behalf of Ay.

Seven stabbed in defense of Lincoln at Gettysburg Hotel

Seven men were stabbed in the Gettysburg Hotel dining room during a brawl sparked by abuse of Lincoln. The wounded include Edward J. Carroll, David Farber, John D. Boston Elevated officials pledged no strike until after July 4 and would lock cars in barns if needed. The Boston Chamber of Commerce met last night with Attorney James H. Vahey saying he would intercede to prevent a strike and sought an amicable settlement to avoid halting Elevated lines. Voting on the issue was set to begin today.
