Twenty five men were stabbed and a score of women battered last evening in a factional fight between Syrians on Hudson street South End. Police were called twice, squads restored order, tenements nearby became temporary hospitals, and union leaders warned of a possible strike over arbitration failures.
Miss Mignon Hopkins of Philadelphia sues William Sulzer governor of New York for breach of promise alleging a romantic relationship and loss of love. Suit filed today with details to follow on pages 2 and 3.

The Union representatives reject their own proposal that the Mayor name the third arbitrator if the two named arbitrators disagree. They also refuse the Company's offer to allow either Massachusetts Chief Justice to name the third arbitrator by mutual consent.
