The Harvard Athletic Association approves schedules for the second varsity baseball team with twelve games against pro semi pro prep and college teams. The season ends May 30 at Yale in New Haven. Webster Native Joseph J. Gilles Dies in Gary Indiana

Joseph J. Gilles, 33, former Harvard basketball captain and Webster native, died in Gary Indiana. A Harvard College 1903 and Harvard Law School 1906 graduate, he organized Harvard's first basketball team and led the squad. He practiced law in Indiana after moving from Pittsburgh in 1907 and was an Elks member. survived by brothers Nicholas of Webster and John of Pittsburgh.
