Washington dispatch reports a parade feature for President-elect Woodrow Wilson's inauguration with finely trained foxhounds led by Dr. Lester Jones of Culpepper Virginia. The dogs will precede a mounted brass band in the civil section of the parade.
Weingartner returns to conduct the opera here after last year performance. Lucile Marcel, famed for previous big successes, will perform many of her favorite roles during the stay in Boston. Her husband will conduct Tristan and Isolde at the Opera House Friday. Mme Schumann Heink will take the part of Azucena. Continued on Page 2 Fifth Column.
Mrs. Mary Slattery of 135 Rutherford Avenue Charlestown held John H. Perelli of 20 Asylum Street South End after he took $10 and papers from her handbag yesterday. She restrained him until police arrived.
Perelli attempted to flee a department store doorway but was stopped by Mrs. Slattery who seized him by the neck and hurled him against a wall. Patrolman White later arrived and took him to police headquarters where a Newark photograph of Perelli appeared under the alias John Pollich. He wept but offered no explanation.
Albany, Jan 29. Attorney General Carmody argues that General Daniel E. Sickles fame as a soldier should not shield New York from restoring $23,476 unaccounted for by him as chairman of the New York Monuments Commission. He wrote to Mrs. Helen D. Longstreet of Gainesville, Ga., widow of Confederate general Longstreet.
In a telegram to Attorney General Carmody, Mrs Longstreet offered to raise 23476 from the ragged and maimed followers of Lee. She also wired General Bickles that the republic, whose battles he fought, would not permit his degradation.
Amelia Leonard a nurse who escaped Worchester Massachusetts Insane Asylum was handed over to asylum officers in New York and sent back to Worcester. Previously arrested for stealing jewelry from patients she was deemed insane and transferred to Ward's Island facility. Her habeas corpus writ was dismissed by Justice Greenbaum.
In London on January 29 suffragettes renewed window smashing and post box outrages on a small scale. The actions kept shopkeepers and police on edge as government offices suffered damage including a $750 plate glass window at the Hamburg American Packet Company offices.

Mrs. Margaret Donovan widow of Charlestown politician Patrick Donovan died after slipping on stairs while visiting Mrs. Julia Haskins. Haskins, living alone at 1 Cook street place, died next evening from starvation. neighbors had believed she had income to support herself. Donovan, aged and frail, fell about 20 stairs and died en route home.
Several flakes of snow fell in Boston yesterday disproving claims that snow had vanished. The unexpected flurry suggested lingering winter weather despite optimistic forecasts and was noted by observers across the city. Continued on Page 2-Sixth Col.

New York authorities seek the Boston defence committee after a telegram to Governor Sulzer and Judge Paddock urged a mass meeting in Boston with 6000 laborers demanding freedom for Alex Salavanno, held in Brooklyn jail since July. Salavanno, a New York gangster who shot two policemen and a citizen in Brooklyn, had his trial opened yesterday as Governor Sulzer declined interference.
