Ex-Governor Harris M Plaisted Dies at 93
Ex Governor Harris M Plaisted of Maine died at 1 55 am in Bangor after a long illness Brights disease. Born November 2 1828 in Jefferson New Hampshire he practiced law in Bangor and served in the Eleventh Maine Regiment rising to brigadier general. He later served as a congressman and governor after leaving the Republican party in 1878 and winning the 1880 election.
