A blaze at 3 19 this morning in a three and one half story brick building at Beach and Oxford streets raged from Colby’s provision store to the lodging house run by Edward Shallow at 86 Oxford. Sergeant Hurlburt and Station 4 officers carried occupants from the smoke filled upper floors. All inmates were removed before the firemen arrived, with about $800 in losses, $200 charged to Edward Shallow. the Minot estate owned the building.
