Thomas secured a license without waiting the five day requirement as guests were invited by phone and telegraph. Mrs Varney Entitled to Hold Large Verdict

Mrs Emma J Varney is held by the Supreme Judicial Court to be entitled to hold a verdict of 7022 dollars recovered against Harry F Curtis and other members of the Curtis Sederquist brokerage firm. She sued for conversion of bonds left as collateral by her son in law George E Symonds.

In 1906 07 the United States Security Company once based at 21 Guildrow and later at 600 Massachusetts Avenue Boston faced financial trouble. After foreclosures and clamor from depositors the firm tried promotions while officers including Henry T. Allen and George W Averell continued operations.
