Bold Robbery Attempt at Attleboro Park Hotel

Two men tried to rob Park Hotel clerk Henry Hayward of 500 dollars in Attleboro late last night. One robber hid in the reading room while the other rang a side entrance call. Hayward was struck with a sandbag and sustained a skull contusion but shouted, and the attackers fled before identification. The incident occurred with many people in the office.

Rooters Celebrate Midwinter Reunion At Elks Hall

Boston Rooters hosted Worcester and Providence visitors at the Elks' Hall for a gala midwinter reunion with singing recitations and speeches.
