About 150 people attended the Fourteenth Annual Ball held by the Telegraphers' Association, with a concert and a grand march led by Henry L. Flynn and partners. The eleventh annual concert and ball of Division 1 A O H took place in Village Hall Norwood Jan 27 with a grand march led by James J Slavin and Mrs. Patrick Nugent. Ring raid at Powell Club ends with mass jump

Lowell report of a police raid on the Powell Club at Chelmsford and Powell streets. About 200 people fled from a second floor barn ring as officers arrived, injuring many. Charles McDermott entered the Fairey and McNeil stable at 19 Granite street and clashed with Frank Miller of 12 Webster street East Boston. Miller reportedly warned him off before McDermott struck with a pitchfork, causing a scalp wound.
