Sunk Tramp Steamer Ardandhu After Collision

The tramp steamer Ardandhu, Captain Dundas, bound from New London to Halifax, collided with the Metropolitan liner Herman Winter off Robinson's Hole, sank stern first in Vineyard Sound. Chief Engineer Henderson and Second Mate Dowe are missing. Winter proceeds to New York for dry dock. Ardandhu valued at about 190000 dollars with cargo of hay and history of mishaps, sister ship Ardanrose also chartered by Munson line.

Burst in his face injures Malden man at Bottling Co

A. J. Ferguson of 78 Boylston Street Malden was severely burned in a bottle bursting incident at the Standard Bottling Company on Battery March Street yesterday. He received facial injuries and was treated at the Emergency Hospital.

Gas Incident at South Boston Works

Andrew Cormick of 41 Hancock Street was overcome by noxious gases while cleaning a tank at the Massachusetts Chemical Company works on 16 A Street, South Boston. He was taken to Emergency Hospital and revived with oxygen therapy.

Man Falls From Bridge Injuries Severe

Charles Norton of 1% Harrison avenue employed by Edgemere Bridge Works fell from Congress street bridge yesterday morning. He sustained a scalp wound skull fracture facial lacerations wrist and knee sprains and was taken to Emergency Hospital for treatment.

St Agnes School Alumnae Hold Religious Meeting in Convent

On St Agnes day evening the St Agnes School alumnae gathered at St Agnes Convent in South Boston. The event centered on religious rites with Benediction in a lit chapel and an address by Rev T J Mahoney.
