The ceremony was led by J Edward Gordon ex-international third vice president. O'Hare earned the post after steering a settlement with New York organizers to avert a general Chicago pressmen strike last May. Other officers include Fred L. Priester vice president Frank L. Back Bay Socialite Contests Guardian Appointment

Ryan Bonds Refused Again by U S Circuit Court

In Chicago on January 21 the U S Circuit Court of Appeals again declined to approve bonds for the release of Frank M. Ryan president of the International Tron Workers Union and co defendants R H Houlihan and William Shupe. District Attorney Miller said the proposed sureties were insufficient and that bonds must be backed by property valued at 200000 dollars. Bernhardt's Cincinnati bond for 10000 was later accepted. Mooney's Duluth bond was returned for limited liability. After further talks Miller would not accept the Ryan Shupe and Houlihan bonds unless 25000 more was named, bringing Ryan's total to 140000. A new attempt to complete the bond is planned for tomorrow.
