Paris Jan 21 The public prosecutor refuses M Laur's request to prosecute M Constans stating only the Chamber of Deputies president can empower action Laur then sent seconds to Constans who would not fight saying he waited too long and would not be at others disposal. Laur wrote Constans reiterating insulting language used in the Chamber that led to the minister's attack.

In Adelphia Penn January 21 the Colonial express from Boston to Washington derailed after the tender jumped the frog at Cornwallis Station. The coupling bars fell on the track and derailed the tender while three Pullman cars stayed on the track with sides touching the tender. No injuries were reported and travel was delayed for hours.

Funeral at the Church of the Incarnation tomorrow at 11. Burial likely in Boston.
