Fenway Stadium Plan Aims to Bind Schools and City Events
A Boston Youth Conference sub committee submits a plan to the mayor endorsing a Fenway stadium project as a general athletic field for grammar and high schools, open to girls and boys, with potential later for an enclosed stadium for basketball, banquets, dances, and public events. The proposal links nearby schools and Simmons College, promising a new city public gathering place for sports, music, pageantry and military drill.
