New York crude oil certificates slid from 90 to 854 amid a panic on the petroleum exchange. Large trading volume neared 10 million barrels with Standard Oil selling causing the drop, while some brokers on the floor steadied the market near the close.
The Jeffries Winter Club of East Boston advances a $15 000 Meridian street hill building project with a Lyceum Hall reception and dance last night. Lawrence Joseph Stickney William B. Dowd and Washington J. Connor. A letter from Beaver Webb requesting yacht dimensions to challenge for the America's cape prompted the corresponding secretary to supply full particulars.
