Emil M. Bauer of 68 Centre Street Roxbury was struck by the wheels of Fire Engine 2 near Central Wharf while waiting for a streetcar about 5 30 last night. He suffered multiple injuries including crushed fingers and a badly lacerated leg and was taken to the Emergency Hospital in precarious condition. The accident followed an overheated furnace fire at 292 294 State Street a liquor store operated on the ground floor by John F Wasserhoehr and owned by the Myers estate heirs.
