Lewisbury’s new hospital buildings, west of the old quadrangle, consist of two 107 by 36 foot structures connected by a sun room. They contain nineteen wards with 110 beds, nine toe warded rooms, and a sunlit layout designed for direct wheeled access between buildings. Ventilation relies on floor vents, roof ejectors, and an upcast brick shaft driven by the boiler flue, with no mechanical fans.
