More than two thousand men and women crowded Faneuil Hall to hear Mrs Hannah Sheehy Skeffington tell of her husband Frank Sheehy Skeffington's execution by British soldiers at Portobello barracks Dublin during the Easter uprising.
The Boston Billy Sunday revival campaign closed a nine week drive with collections surpassing 90 000 dollars at three services totaling toward a 200 000 dollar pledge fund. Committee leaders Allen B Emery William E Blodgett and Rev Cortland Myers urged a final offering next Sunday to honor the evangelist and repay blessings to Boston and surrounding areas.

Twenty one cows five horses four pigs and a Shetland pony were burned to death as the big barn on Albert W Outram s dairy farm on Franklin street Stoneham was destroyed in a suspected incendiary fire last night.
A parrot named Polly alerted residents at 53 Pinckney Street in Beacon Hill yesterday forenoon, waking Mrs. Helen E. Lothrop’s lodging house crowd and prompting a quick fire department response to prevent a serious blaze.
Mrs. Lothrop on the fourth floor heard a parrot cry fire and hurried to the kitchen where a bundle near the stove fed by a hot flame had started a blaze. She used bare hands to extinguish all sparks, preventing damage to woodwork and securing her uninsured possessions. Polly the parrot rewarded with extra sunflower seeds.
