Confesses She Killed Little Son in Albany Swamp
Rochester police report Edith Melcher of Schenectady, a 23 year old widow, confessed to killing her five year old son George with carbolic acid in a swamp near Albany last Friday. She was arrested at New York Central station and jailed on first degree murder charges, to be taken to Albany tomorrow.
