New Haven Trolleys Favored By Legislature Panel

A western trolley bill was introduced by a special legislative committee after Governor Foss vetoed last year. The measure asks if New Haven may own or control trolley systems directly or indirectly, with state law generally opposing such holdings except for the Berkshire exception allowing a street railway to take over the Springfield and Worcester lines.
