Death takes H. B. Mitchell former Malden police chief
Harris B. Mitchell 70 died suddenly in his Revere House room after heart trouble. He served as Malden police chief under Elisha S. Converse, fought in the Civil War with the First Maine Cavalry, and had lived in Malden 35 years. Survived by wife and one son, formerly superintendent of the Danvers Insane Asylum. He recently moved to Boston from Malden.
