Seoul reports growing distress as Russo Japanese hostilities seem imminent. Skirmishes among Russo Japanese and Corean troops已, with foreign interests urged to be protected. Japan and Russia rush troops to Corea while United States Marines mobilize to safeguard American interests.
Sadie Peters, a 24 year old waitress, was shot by her lover Ray C Johnson in a Roxbury lodging house at 122 Washington street. Johnson admitted the killing saying jealousy drove him. Peters had a husband in Nova Scotia and two children in a home for Little Wanderers.
