For families boarding houses restaurants and hotels gas costs about 1.00 per thousand versus coal. Gas stoves for family use cost 3 to 30 dollars and can operate cheaply per hour. Curcaco Jan. 5 J B Greenhut president of the whiskey trust is staying at the Grand Pacific He said the trust had no plan to act at present and no meeting was contemplated He professed ignorance of any combination to buy whiskey and offered no comment on further steps.
Eugene Kane of Lynn entered a shoe factory while intoxicated and fell into an elevator well. He sustained no injuries. The physician who treated him says the fall would have caused instant death if he had been sober.

Providence reports a tragic accident as an eight year old and an eighteen month old boy died after an attic gunpowder accident at 654 Manton Avenue.
