Cambridge City Officials Begin Term and Mayor Russell's Inaugural

The Cambridge common council and board of aldermen convened at City Hall with Alvin F. Sortwell presiding and Rev. E H Hail offering prayer. Mayor Russell read an inaugural address detailing finances and city needs, noting a reduced tax rate, a looming water supply, cemetery expansion, and high school accommodations. John H. Corcoran was named president and Walter H. Pike Clerk, with rigidity on weekly meetings and re-elections of key city officers.
