Engelhorn resigns Dartmouth captaincy over three-year rule

Dartmouth College in Hanover, N H, announced W T Engelhorn has resigned as football captain after the athletic council ruled he is ineligible under the three-year rule. Engelhorn, who played at Washington State before Dartmouth, stated he believed eligibility but chose to resign. The council confirmed the ruling and did not set a new captain yet. Meanwhile, track candidates gathered in poor weather for indoor season trials led by Captain Henry Minot and Clarence Little.
