Couple Married After Night Of Mishaps In Cambridge

A couple wed near Cambridge after a chaotic route from Ashmont. A wayward chauffeur, tire failures, and car swaps slowed them, with Father Buckley marrying them at St Pauls parish house just before 1am. Guests dined at 2am, then began an unknown wedding tour. The groom, a North End lifeguard and boxer, and the bride, a Cambridge confectionery clerk, were the central figures.

Postal savings total reach 1.19 million dollars

Postmaster Mansfield reports postal savings deposits totaling 1,192,271 dollars on January 1, credited to 17,140 persons. Withdrawals since August 1, 1911 total 589,936 dollars. Last month 886 new accounts opened with 81,241 dollars deposited. Christmas season withdrawals were heavy at 70,240 dollars.
