The United States Atlantic battleship fleet completed the world girdling cruise two days early and arrived at Suez this morning from Colombo. The voyage covered 3440 knots.
The fleet sailed from Colombo December 20 with only one tragedy a seaman drowned from the battle ship Illinois. Admiral Sperry greeted by Egyptian officials and Cairo visit planned though brief. 500 officers and men dispatched for Cairo as Yankton and Culgoa move toward Messina. Wireless signals coordinated canal passage and coal at Port Said with 25 000 tons ordered.

Mrs Sergeant filed suit for separate maintenance against her husband over non support. In Fall Brook a man leaped from a car and snatched their daughter May. The women fought him off as he tried to flee with the child, while Sergeant allegedly grabbed Mrs Sergeant by the throat. Mrs Clark helped restrain the man until Sisson arrived. police seek Sergeant on assault charges.
