Death of Leonard C. Baker Prominent Yarmouth Steamship Leader
Leonard C. Baker president of the Yarmouth Steamship Company was found dead in a sleeping car berth near the South Terminal station. He had directed the Boston and Yarmouth routes and helped found the system with Alpha and Dominion ships. His death is blamed on heart disease and the body will be sent to Nova Scotia. Baker leaves a widow, two sons, and a daughter. flags are half mast in his memory.
