Mrs. Florence Ethel Walker of 120 Appleton Street applied for her fifth marriage license yesterday afternoon. She then confessed to being 35 years old, after a calm, startling admission that drew attention at the license bureau.
Shaves drop a nickel to 15 cents in most top barber shops in the city with the new price set to take full effect within a week. Barbers discuss a 50 cent haircut and shave combined option, with the 40 cent haircut remaining if no shave is taken.
Angered backers of Rev. Edwin Curtis stormed out of a Boston Presbytery meeting at East Boston, after the vote ousting him as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church Brookline. Discharged clergyman may pursue court action with photos in the Pictorial Section.

Dr Marion Edwards Park dean of Radcliffe College Cambridge Massachusetts has been unanimously elected president of Bryn Mawr College to succeed M Carey Thomas who retires at the end of the current academic year Dr Park has accepted the appointment according to the college announcement
Dr Park, born in Gloversville New York, graduated from Bryn Mawr in 1898 and won the Bryn Mawr European Fellowship. She served as instructor in classics and acting dean of women at Colorado College, then held acting and associate dean posts at Simmons College Boston before moving to Radcliffe last October.
Elizabeth Hart, 21, of Winthrop living at 247 Main Street, swallowed corrosive sublimate tablets in the courthouse yesterday. She was resting comfortably at the Relief Station with expected recovery. The incident followed her mother’s distress and the strain of unemployment, while Hart sought assistance from Probation Officer Coughlin to mobilize family aid.
Henry F. Lynch of Danvers, a former War Risk Insurance Bureau clerk, was arraigned yesterday on two federal warrants. He pleaded not guilty and was granted until today to post $1000 bail for a further hearing. Lynch's office is at 43 Tremont Street.
