Fishing Vessels Bring In Haddock and Cod Totals at Port
Eighteen fishing vessels arrived at the T wharf from closing Saturday to yesterday opening with a total of 184000 pounds of haddock cod hake pollock and cask. The Annie Perry Provincetown vessel reported 9000 pounds haddock 1600 cod and 2000 hake at 7 cents a pound. Other boats fetched 714 cents per haddock and 6 to 7 cents for the rest. Offshore trips included the Muriel 60000 haddock 4000 cod and the Gertrude 15000 haddock 3000 cod 1000 hake. Passenger traffic to Queenstown and Liverpool is ebbing as spring nears. The Selsdon arrived with a large Yokohama cargo, guarded by a 33-man Chinese crew awaiting discharge at Mystic pier.
