Laredo, Tex. Feb 26. Clemente Vergera, Texas ranchman, was assaulted by Mexican federal soldiers on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande and imprisoned at Hidalgo Feb 12. Two days later he was hanged about three miles from the city, body left uncared for until two days ago. Carmen to Get Back Pay Monday for 9400 Workers

Nearly 9400 employees of the Boston Elevated Railway Company will receive about 400000 on Monday at various work locations as back wages under the arbitration award announced at midnight Friday January 16 by the board representing the public the company and the Boston Carmen Union. The payout covers the difference between regular wages and the award amount for the pending wage dispute. Some workers will get as much as 140 dollars while the average will be near 30 dollars.
