Mother Burns With Babies in South Huntingdon Fire

The wife of carpenter Howard Fisher and three of her children died in a home blaze in South Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Fisher, alone at home with two girls and a boy aged 6 months to 5 years, returned to find the house afire and, after being driven back by flames, leaped into the blaze at a rear window. Two men aided her efforts but she perished in the fire.

Arbiters Deadlock Over Third Neutral Arbiter

In New York on February 2% the two arbiters chosen by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen and the Pennsylvania Railroad failed to reach a consensus for a third arbiter under the Erdman act. If no agreement is reached, the presiding judge of the United States Commerce Court and the United States Commissioner of Labor will appoint the neutral arbiter.

Post Office Worker Held for Embezzlement Charge

Daniel C. Ferguson a laborer at the Roxbury post office was held for the federal grand jury by United States Commissioner Hayes yesterday on a charge of embezzling from the mails. He pleaded not guilty and waived examination. Bail was set at $500.
