The steamer Admiral Dewey did not dock yesterday at Simpson's yard as expected. Massasoit, a large four masted schooner, occupied the dock until repairs finished and she departed by 9 am. Dewey was set to enter the dock this morning if weather allowed. A crippled steamer may be towed in at high tide depending on conditions.

Williams allegedly obtained a marriage license in Boston on May 14 1898 by falsely stating Grace L Patterson age 18, while she was reported to be 14. Williams was taken into custody with deputies Shaff and Herrick aiding. The girl is said to have remained with Williams' parents since the marriage.
