Meaghers Dance Highlights Tenth Thomas Meagher Ball in Charlestown

Meaghers Dance in Reughan Hall Charlestown drew a large crowd for the tenth annual Meagher Literary Association ball. Guests traveled from Cambridge Newton Arlington Chelsea Lynn South Boston Roxbury East Boston Lawrence Watertown Brookline Malden Medford Hyde Park Worcester Quincy and beyond to admire gowned ladies, Irish and American flags, and a Meagher Band procession.

Somerset Associates Ball Lights Up South Boston Hall

The ninth annual Somerset Associates ball at Bethesda Hall in Ward 14 drew a glittering crowd. Senator Baldwin and numerous aldermen and representatives attended as paintings of national figures lined the walls and dancing ran from 8 pm to 2 am under Mark S. Lally's direction.

Young Ladies Manage Dance at Tremont Hall

The Four Leaf Clover Club held a social dance in Tremont Hall last night. About fifty couples attended from out of town. The hall featured four leaf clover designs and was managed by officers Miss Emma Lanahan, Miss Mary Curran, Miss Alta Grant, and Miss Katie Boucher with aides Misses Jennie Melheron, Minnie McInnes, Nellie Ardi, and Nellie Curran assisting.

Women form first Foresters court in West Quincy

About 100 members of the Massachusetts Catholic Order of Foresters witnessed the institution of St. Ambrose Court 172 in Foresters Hall, West Quincy. The all female court began with 25 charter members and elected officers including Miss Mary L. Conway as C R and Mrs. Mary A. Daley as V C R. High Chief Ranger Doherty then appointed William P. Hughes as deputy for the new court.
