SCHOONER AND WHARF ON FIRE IN LUNENBURG ACCIDENT

The two masted schooner Arabia of Lunenburg caught fire near a commercial wharf. Crew aided by mates Fred Pee Harry Orkle Wallace Ness and Williams Lynch fought to free the vessel using a line and windlass. The schooner loaded with potatoes was stuck in mud as flames burned above the rigging. The line was secured and the stern freed twice, as the blaze raged overhead. Continued on page two.

Minna Klein Robbed After Assault in Tremont Theatre Office

Minna Klein, dramatic instructor, was knocked unconscious and robbed of about $63 after two young men gained entry to her Tremont Theatre office while posing to change a $50 bill. The attack occurred after 9 pm with police alerted and a citywide lookout issued. The suspects, about 20, wore a long black ulster and a black derby, and a dark suit with no coat. Klein was later returned home in a highly nervous state.

Henry Austin Clapp Dead, Noted Shaksperian Scholar Dies

Henry Austin Clapp, acclaimed Shaksperian scholar, writer, critic, and lecturer, died of pneumonia at his home 446 Marlboro Street yesterday afternoon. Born in Dorchester July 17 1831 he studied at Harvard joining the 1860 class and later practiced law in Boston. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Church of the Advent.
