Desperate Burglar Snared After Robbery At Chelsea

Charles Smith reports Daniel J. Flannagan aged 19 of 3 Pratts Block Chelsea was arrested after a break in at Thomas Crofton of 2 Pratts Block Chelsea. In a struggle Crofton fought the intruder who fled down stairs and was later captured near the police headquarters. Four dollars were missing from Crofton’s room. Flannagan is held for larceny and breaking and entering awaiting trial.

Boston artist Mrs. Lottie Welch funeral held

Funeral for Mrs. Lottie Welch, a prominent Boston painter, occurred yesterday afternoon starting at 10 oclock from her home at 465 Fourth Street South Boston. The Rev Alfred Cardall led services at the Universalist Church and burial followed at Mt Hope. Welch maintained a studio at Broadway and F streets for many years and died after illness of pneumonia.

General Strike Recommended for New England Unions

A Wells Memorial meeting brought together all New England textile unions to discuss aiding strikers. A proposal to call out all operatives prompted heated debate, funds were noted as insufficient, and a soliciting drive was urged. The conference lasted three and a half hours with a unanimous resolution endorsing a mass walkout of cotton textile workers.

The Post artist sketched Peter Neilson in his cell to aid identification. He has refused to speak since his arrest. Police, aware of a possible record, will send his photograph to leading U.S. police officials.

Teenager Slips Into Crisis After Poison Mixed Drink

Benjamin Freide age 17 residing at 2 Harrison avenue reportedly drank a mixture of paris green and whiskey at 99 East Brookline street. Police refuse to state intent. He was taken to City Hospital and was resting comfortably at midnight. Details for both addresses withheld.

Driver Flees After Slamming Into 8-Year-Old Pedestrian

Mary Sutton aged eight of 188 Hillside Street was struck by a horse tied wagon on Washington near Dimock Street. The rider fled after the collision. the child suffered facial and body bruises and was returned home by her father. Police at Station 10 seek the horse and wagon owner.

His son James Stevenson Jr. arrived with the body in Boston where burial from his wife's Brookline residence will be arranged.
