Critique of Mary Anderson as the Countess in Knowles play Love at a Boston theatre last evening. Noted improvement over last season with lisps in some readings but uneven delivery and limited facial expressiveness. Other cast members praised include Rob ert L. Boston Marine Society Holds Quarterly Meeting
The Boston Marine Society met on Tuesday with Capt. Octavius Howe presiding. The relief committee reported disbursements of 2715 to beneficiaries over the past quarter and that 53 members or their families received aid. A New Hampshire man, Capt. William H. Mont, was admitted as a member. A reserve urging legislature to amend pilot laws and a remonstrance against transferring the coast survey to the Navy Department were adopted.
