A massive Jumbo Press arrives at the Old Colony depot and is moved into the Post building. Sixty large cases and thirty tons of machinery occupy the staircase and street, drawing crowds as Hig derricks and seventeen expert mechanics assemble it from Saturday night into Sunday afternoon. The press is expected to print up to 46,000 two page papers per hour and 24,000 eight page papers per hour once running, greatly expanding the Post’s capacity beyond four and eight page limits.
Haveruich Feb 12 The death by self inflicted action of David F Collins in Exeter jail is considered sure evidence of his guilt in the Kingston arrest for complicity in the West Newbury house fire of Jan 30. James M Addison and his son William perished in the blaze as investigators suspected arson to obtain insurance.
Natick February 12 The paint factory of Henry Woods Son Co was totally destroyed by fire late this afternoon. The brick structure measured 150 by 60 feet and the loss is placed at 50000 with partial insurance coverage.
A Santa Fe passenger train hit a wagon load at Syracuse San on February 12 killing one man and fatally injuring several others. The team was killed. The sheriff ordered arrest of the train crew.

Special to the Post reports M. F. Hannigan, a popular local barber, was attacked near Guild’s block around 12 o’clock Saturday night. He was struck with a heavy instrument, sustaining a deep forehead wound, a broken nose, and a head injury after resisting an assailant who fled. Hannigan was carried home unconscious.
