A Newton report states a father, Drowne, corralled his son after the youth ran away from school. Authorities investigated formal steps following the incident at the Newton campus.
Henry Russell Drowne Jr. walked five hours to Natick with a nine-year-old companion after fleeing from Newton boarding school and called his mother in New York. He was seized at Grand Central and taken to his father’s home at 147 West Thirty-sixth Street amid ongoing custody disputes. Divorce actions are pending in New York, with an earlier Dakota decree cited.
Dora Me eer, on trial since January 20 for the murder of artist Webster Guerin, is acquitted after six and a half hours of jury deliberation. The widow of Michael C. McDonald faced the case in Criminal Court, with bail bonds posted for $50,000.
In Lynn on February 11 a live wire sent current through water into a hose nozzle, hurled three firemen Captain Kelly Driver Childs and Hoseman Watts against a brick wall. They were taken to quarters with severe bruises. The Foster garage on Washington street suffered about 1500 dollars in damage.

McInnis, six feet tall and 200 pounds, was injured at Brooks Road Polishing works in South Quincy when a granite block toppled. He was between the block and a wall, left lung crushed, back damaged, head and face cut, with other injuries. He survived long enough to direct removal before being taken to City Hospital.

A federal grand jury voted five indictments in ongoing bank probes. Three target Charles W. Morse and a former National Bank of North America official for over certification and misapplication of funds. One Morse charge and one against his associate were among those returned. Morse is expected to arrive on the Etruria from Liverpool next Saturday as another related case unfolds in New York county.
