Live and contested measure faces strong hearing action
Everett W. Burdett of the Massachusetts Electric and Gas Association urged support before a committee as the bill drew little opposition at the hearing. The measure is expected to trigger a vigorous session battle prior to enactment. The Department of Public Utilities did not recommend or approve the bill and urged a department led review of stock issuance and rate of return before any new law.
