Boston unions reported no instructions yet to join a sympathy strike over a $1 daily wage increase for New York carpenters. Joseph W. Twomey said orders would likely arrive by midweek as the general executive board of building trades meets in Boston.
In Washington on February 10 the equal suffrage amendment failed in the Senate by 55 to 29, one vote short of the required majority.
