Boston churches held Simultaneous Evangelistic Campaign Day with hundreds gathering at 9 30 am to spread the message. Rev J Wilbur Chapman addressed church officers and ministers from the eastern United States at Tremont Temple and announced a reclaimed minister will speak at a noon meeting.
Pr Chapman requested district reports on Church Day effects. The first reply came from Rev A Z Conrad who said the meeting in his church was well pleasing and described it as reconsecration and rededication.
Frederick A. Small files an absolute divorce libel naming Arthur H. Soden of Newtonville as co respondent and Laura Marie Patterson Small as the defendant. Attorney George Libby, 1 Beacon Street, says he filed the libel the same day as the $500,000 alienation suit, but has not located Mrs Small to serve the papers.
Miss Ida Manuel was seriously injured in a runaway accident in Franklin New Hampshire when the horse she was driving bolted down Prospect Street on an icy hill. The horse struck a wall, and Manuel was thrown through a large window as bystanders watched a dangerous plunge unfold.
A horse bolted from a bridge onto Central avenue and crashed into the International Paper mill wall. The rider Miss Manuel was thrown onto a steam valve inside the window, severely injuring her. She was rushed to Dr A A Beaton and remained unconscious for some time with multiple broken bones and possible internal injuries.
Ex Senator George F Edmunds of Vermont, a noted authority on international law, said at his Pasadena home that California acts within sovereign rights in enacting an anti alien land law. He added the state may deny Japanese attendance at white schools on grounds of moral age or conduct disqualifications.
Senator Edmunds says sincere lawmakers may push ill-timed anti Asiatic measures harming California trade with Asia. He notes California holds sovereign land limits but warns hostility could impact relations with Asiatic countries. He claims in war Japan could seize the Philippines but would be reclaimed within a year.

Peck alleged the money, sent to his Newton son, vanished. Roy, a 14 year housekeeper, claimed the funds were Peck’s remuneration. She waived extradition and agreed to return to Vermont to face the charge.
John Monahan of Chicago said in court he would not serve as executor of Patrick Monahan of Charlestown. He believed the will to be forged and planned to contest it with his sister joining the action.
In Probate Court James A Tosney filed to be named administrator of Monahans estate amid a judicial inquiry. Private detectives handwriting experts and police assisted the investigation with witnesses Mary A Watson said to be unable to write while Hadward E Davis and John IF Murphy remain missing. Monahans property valued around 150000 dollars.
The union jack of the battleship Maine, sunk near Havana about a decade ago, was sent to the Navy Department by Captain J. C. Fremont. The torn banner remains in good shape and will join the Washington Navy Yard collection after display at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific exposition in Seattle.
CALLAO Peru Feb 9 The United States Pacific cruiser squadron will depart tomorrow at 4 o clock for Panama. The gunboat Yorktown and the supply ship Glacier also sailed for Panama. A Central Railway bridge collapse killed 13 workers obstructed an excursion train with American officers aboard. Officials offered to refund passage, but officers donated the money to victims families.
