Andrew J. Murphy, 23, of 7 Wallace Court Charlestown, reached for his hat blown into the water by a gust and fell 20 feet from the new bridge yesterday at 11 50 am. He hung from a girder before slipping into the river and is now at the Relief station with a fractured left leg. Drawtenders rescued him after hearing his cries.
