Annual Reunion of the Roanoke Association
The Roanoke association held its fourth annual reunion at the Revere house on Monday. Gen. Lee, the president, had died since election. vice president Gen. A. B. R. Sprague presided. Officers elected: president Gen. A. B. R. Sprague Worcester twenty-fifth regiment. first vice president Capt. J. A. Osgood Boston twenty-fourth. second vice president Dr. James A. Emmerton Salem twenty-third. secretary Edward H. Haskell Gloucester twenty-third. treasurer Capt. James Thompson Boston twenty-fourth. The annual dinner followed with resolutions in honor of the late Gen. Horace C. Lee.

Hand Burial Or Digging Incident At Hartland Vermont
An injured Hartland Vermont man A L Davis had his mangled arm amputated and buried. Attendants did not wash it properly. Later Davis felt a burning sensation in his band and told his wife. Men reportedly exhumed the hand and washed it in a room, believing a different operation was needed.
