Georgie Adams Faces Larceny Charges in Superior Court

Georgie Adams alias Minnie Belyea appeared before Judge Richardson in Superior Criminal Court and pleaded not guilty to charges of larceny totaling $165 from an unknown person on September 15, plus a watch valued at $2 and $15 in money from Newton H. Hurlburt on October 11. She failed to appear for arraignment and was ordered to post bail of $800.

Brown's Butter Stores Convicted in Court

Charles E. Brown was found guilty in the Superior Criminal Court by Judge Richardson of cheating Charles S. Day and Eldon H. Ladd out of sums totaling 8 percent and 390 dollars. He misrepresented butter and egg stores to induce investments for a half interest. Brown operated several stores and sold interests in up to nine stores over two years. Sentencing to follow.
